What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a tracked URL. When you click one and then make a purchase on the destination site (most often Amazon), I receive a small commission from the retailer. The price you pay is identical to what you would pay going directly. Nothing is added to your cart or your bill.

How affiliate links affect what I recommend

They don't. If the best paint roller for the job is sold by a brand with no affiliate program, I link to the manufacturer page anyway.
